## Biography

Nancy Malone (born Ann Josefa Maloney) was an American actress, director and producer. Born in Queens Village, New York, she began acting as a child and made her Broadway debut in *Time Out for Ginger* at the age of 17. She appeared in numerous television series in the 1950s and 1960s, including a recurring role as Libby Kingston in *Naked City* (1960–1963), for which she received an Emmy nomination.

Malone later moved into producing and directing. In 1976 she became the first woman to serve as vice-president of television at 20th Century Fox. Her directing credits include episodes of *Cagney & Lacey* (1988), *Dynasty*, *Melrose Place*, *Beverly Hills, 90210*, *Star Trek: Voyager* and *Dawson's Creek*. She won a Primetime Emmy Award for producing the 1993 special *Bob Hope: The First 90 Years* and was nominated for directing episodes of *Sisters* and *The Trials of Rosie O'Neill*. She died in Duarte, California, in 2014.
