## Biography

Narayan Van Maele is a Luxembourgish cinematographer based in Ireland. He graduated from the National Film School at IADT Dublin in 2009 with first-class honours in cinematography.

His credits as director of photography include the features *Gutland* (2018), which premiered at TIFF and represented Luxembourg at the Oscars, *You Are Not My Mother* (2022), *Double Blind* (2024) and *Fréwaka* (2025). He worked on the Oscar-winning short *An Irish Goodbye* (2022) and the series *Dublin Narcos* (2023), for which he received a BAFTA nomination. He is IFTA-nominated for several films.

Van Maele has an upcoming credit as cinematographer on *Soulm8te* (2026).
