## Biography

Narciso Yepes was a Spanish classical guitarist and composer. He arranged and performed the guitar music for the 1952 film *Forbidden Games*, including the main theme "Romance".

Born in Lorca, Murcia, on 14 November 1927, Yepes studied at the Conservatorio de Valencia. He developed a ten-string guitar in collaboration with luthier José Ramírez III and performed widely, including concertos with orchestras. He was married to Marysia Szumlakowska.

Yepes died in Murcia on 3 May 1997. He is also credited as composer on films including *The Girl with the Golden Eyes* (1961).
