## Biography

Natalie Holt is a British composer of film and television scores. Born in Worthing, West Sussex, she trained as a violinist at the Royal Academy of Music before studying composition at the National Film and Television School. She worked as a classical violinist, performing at the Royal Albert Hall and the 2012 Olympic closing ceremony, prior to her composing career.

Holt is known for her scores for the Disney+ series *Loki* (2021–2023) and *Obi-Wan Kenobi* (2022), for which she became the first woman to compose for a live-action *Star Wars* project. Other credits include *Journey's End* (2017), *The Princess* (2022), *The Honourable Woman* (2014) and the 2024 series *Rivals*, on which she collaborated with Jack Halama. She contributed additional music to *Paddington* (2014).

In 2015 she shared an Ivor Novello Award for *The Honourable Woman*. She was made an associate of the Royal Academy of Music in 2017 and has received Emmy nominations and a World Soundtrack Award for Television Composer of the Year.
