## Biography

Nathalie Delon was a French actress, model, film director and writer. Born Francine Canovas on 1 August 1941 in Oujda, then in the French Protectorate of Morocco, she worked as a model before entering film.

She made her acting debut as Jane Lagrange opposite Alain Delon in Jean-Pierre Melville's *Le Samouraï* (1967). She appeared in around thirty films, including an uncredited role in *Army of Shadows* (1969), *When Eight Bells Toll* (1971) and *Bluebeard* (1972). Delon directed two films of her own: *They Call It an Accident* (1982) and *Sweet Lies* (1988). She was married to actor Alain Delon from 1964 to 1969.
