## Biography

Nathan Parker is an English screenwriter. He wrote the screenplay for the 2009 science fiction film *Moon*, directed by Duncan Jones from a story by Jones.

His other screenwriting credits include *Blitz* (2011), *Equals* (2015), *2:22* (2017), *Our House* (2018), teleplays for three episodes of the miniseries *The Underground Railroad* (2021), and *Slingshot* (2024). He also wrote and directed the short film *Remember Alice Bell?* (2011).

Parker was born in London. He is the son of filmmaker Alan Parker. For *Moon*, he received nominations for a British Independent Film Award for Best Screenplay and a BAFTA Award for Outstanding British Film, and won a Writers' Guild of Great Britain Award for Best First Feature-Length Screenplay and a Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation.
