Ned Dowd is an American film producer and former actor. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he graduated from Bowdoin College in 1972 and earned a master's degree at McGill University. He played professional ice hockey before entering the film industry as a technical advisor on *Slap Shot* (1977), later working as an assistant director and line producer.

Dowd has production credits on films including *The Last of the Mohicans* (1992), *The 13th Warrior* (1999), *Shanghai Noon* (2000), *Wonder Boys* (2000), *The Count of Monte Cristo* (2002), *King Arthur* (2004) and *Apocalypto* (2006).
