## Biography

Ned Wever was an American actor who worked in stage, radio, film and television. He graduated from Princeton University and began his career on Broadway before becoming a regular performer in old-time radio serials, with notable roles including the title character in *Bulldog Drummond* and *Dick Tracy*.

From the late 1950s he appeared in supporting film roles, including Smitty in *Some Came Running* (1958), Dr. Raschid in *Anatomy of a Murder* (1959), FBI Chief E.P. Hackett in *The Shaggy Dog* (1959) and Clark Wilson in *The Prize* (1963). His television credits included appearances in *Alfred Hitchcock Presents*, *Get Smart* and *Petticoat Junction*. He also wrote songs, including "Trust in Me".
