## Biography

Neil Meron is an American film and television producer. Born on 26 October 1955 in Brooklyn, New York, he graduated from Brooklyn College in 1976. He began his career as an assistant to Craig Zadan while working for Joseph Papp at the Public Theater in the 1970s.

With Zadan, Meron formed Storyline Entertainment and produced film adaptations of musicals including *Chicago* (2002) and *Hairspray* (2007). Their other credits include *The Bucket List* (2007), *Footloose* (2011) and several television musicals such as *Cinderella* (1997) and *Annie* (1999). The pair produced the Academy Awards telecasts in 2013, 2014 and 2015. Meron continues to run Storyline Entertainment following Zadan's death in 2018.
