## Biography

Nelson Cragg is an American cinematographer and director. Born on 7 April 1978 in Fairfax, Virginia, he studied English literature at James Madison University before earning an MFA in film production from the University of Southern California.

He began working as a director of photography in 2002 and has served in that role on series including *Breaking Bad* (2008), *Homeland* (2011–2012), *Elementary* (2012), *American Horror Story* (2011) and *American Crime Story* (2016). He received Primetime Emmy Award nominations for his cinematography on *Homeland* and *The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story*. Cragg has also directed episodes of series such as *American Horror Story*, *Pose*, *Ratched*, *The Boys* and *Gen V*, and served as executive producer and director on the Amazon series *Them* (2021).
