## Biography

Nic Sampson (born 18 November 1986) is a New Zealand actor, comedian and writer. He played Chip Thorn, the Yellow Mystic Ranger, in *Power Rangers Mystic Force* (2006) and D.C. Sam Breen in *The Brokenwood Mysteries* (2014–2021).

Sampson has written episodes of *The Brokenwood Mysteries* and co-wrote series of *Starstruck* (2021–2023), in which he also appears as Steve. He co-created the sitcom *Golden Boy* and performed in the sketch series *Funny Girls* (2015–2018). He is a member of the Auckland improv collective Snort and is based in London.
