## Biography

Nicholas Corea, also credited as Nick Corea, was an American television writer, producer and director. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he served as a US Marine in Vietnam, where he was awarded the Purple Heart, before working as a police officer and later moving into television writing.

Corea wrote and produced episodes of series including *The Incredible Hulk* (1978–1981), for which he also directed, and created the western series *Outlaws* (1986). He contributed to *Airwolf* (1984), *Street Hawk* (1985), *Renegade* (1992–1995) and *Walker, Texas Ranger* (1993–1999), where he served as a writer and creative consultant. He also wrote for *Star Trek: Deep Space Nine* (1995) and *Star Trek: Voyager* (1996).

Corea died of pancreatic cancer in Burbank, California, on 17 January 1999.
