Nic Knowland is a British cinematographer. He was born in Devizes, Wiltshire, in 1941.

Knowland has worked extensively in film and television since the 1970s. His credits include *The Great Rock 'n' Roll Swindle* (1980), *Institute Benjamenta, or This Dream That One Calls Human Life* (1995), *Berberian Sound Studio* (2012) and *The Duke of Burgundy* (2015), the last two directed by Peter Strickland. He has also contributed to stage productions such as *Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat* (1999) and *Cats* (1998).

Knowland is a member of the British Society of Cinematographers and has received a BAFTA award among other nominations.
