## Biography

Nicholas Eliopoulos is an American film and sound editor, director and producer. He worked as one of several film editors on the 1982 musical comedy *The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas*.

His editing credits also include *Woo* (1998) and four episodes of the television series *Law & Order: Criminal Intent* (2001–2002). He has contributed sound editing to films such as *Out of Africa* (1985) and *Nine to Five* (1980). Eliopoulos later directed and produced feature documentaries including *Mary Pickford: The Muse of the Movies* (2008) and *Celebrating Laughter: The Life and Films of Colin Higgins* (2022).

He holds a BA in Speech and Drama from the University of Kansas and completed a two-year editing fellowship at the American Film Institute. Eliopoulos has received an Emmy Award, two Golden Reel Awards and three Golden Scissors Awards.
