Nick Stringer (born 10 August 1948) is an English actor. He was born in Torquay, Devon, and trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama before beginning his career at the Liverpool Playhouse in 1974.

Stringer is known for his role as Billy in the film *The Long Good Friday* (1980). His other film credits include *The Shout* (1978), *Clockwise* (1986) and *Personal Services* (1987). On television he has appeared in *Open All Hours*, *Only Fools and Horses*, *The New Statesman* (as Bob Crippen), *The Bill* (as PC Ron Smollett) and *Holby City*.

His television work also includes guest roles in *Goodnight Sweetheart*, *Press Gang* and *Coronation Street*. He has been active from 1976 to 2017.
