## Biography

Nicolaj Kopernikus (born Nicolaj Christiansen) is a Danish actor. He trained at the acting school of Odense Teater and graduated in 1994. He adopted his professional name after his film debut in *Let's Get Lost* (1997).

Kopernikus is best known for portraying Vagn Skærbæk in the first series of the Danish crime drama *The Killing* (2007). He won a Bodil Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Stig in *The Bench* (2000). Other credits include *The Bridge* (2011), *King's Game* (2004), *The Kindness of Strangers* (2019) and an episode of *Midsomer Murders* (2014). He has also directed short films.
