## Biography

Nikki Schiefelbein is a television writer and producer, also credited early in her career as Nikki Ashley. Her credits include writing and story editor roles on *One Tree Hill* (2008–2012), as well as work on *The Ranch* (2016–2020), *The Umbrella Academy* (2019–) and *Mozart in the Jungle* (2014).

She graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in the Radio, TV and Film track of Communication Arts. After moving to Los Angeles she began as a showrunner’s assistant on *One Tree Hill* before advancing to staff writer and story editor positions over six seasons of the series.

Schiefelbein has written episodes of *The Client List* and *The Ranch*, contributed teleplays to *The Umbrella Academy*, and held producing credits on several of these programmes. She is completing a debut novel.
