Nina Simone, born Eunice Kathleen Waymon, was an American singer, pianist and civil rights activist who appeared in several documentaries through archive footage of her performances.

She is credited as Self (archive footage) in *Summer of Soul (...Or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised)* (2021), *Soundtrack to a Coup d'Etat* (2024) and *It's Never Over, Jeff Buckley* (2025). A biographical documentary, *What Happened, Miss Simone?* (2015), also features her extensively.
