## Biography

Noel Pearson is an Irish film and theatrical producer from Dublin. He began his career as a stage agent and producer of musicals before becoming artistic director of the Abbey Theatre. He founded Ferndale Films in 1987.

Pearson produced the 1989 film *My Left Foot: The Story of Christy Brown*, which received five Academy Award nominations including Best Picture. He also produced *The Field* (1990), *Frankie Starlight* (1995), *Dancing at Lughnasa* (1998), *Tara Road* (2005) and *The Secret Scripture* (2016). His stage productions include several Broadway shows such as *Dancing at Lughnasa* and *An Inspector Calls*.
