Norma Safford Vela is an American television writer, producer and director. Her writing credits include episodes of *St. Elsewhere* (1982) and *Roseanne* (1988).

She created or co-created the series *Davis Rules* (1991), *Good Advice* (1993) and *George* (1993). Other writing credits include *Sabrina, the Teenage Witch* (1996), *What I Like About You* (2002) and *V.I.P.* (1998). She has also worked as a producer on several of these programmes.
