Norman Percival was a Welsh composer, conductor, arranger and musical director. Born on 12 January 1926 in Swansea, he worked extensively in British light entertainment television and film from the 1950s to the 1980s.

He composed incidental music for the BBC sitcom *Steptoe and Son* (1964, seven episodes) and *Meet the Wife* (1964). His film scores include *Dangerous Afternoon* (1961) and *The Wind of Change* (1961). Percival also served as musical director or orchestrator on series such as *The Dave Allen Show*, *The Mike Reid Show* and *The Black and White Minstrel Show*.

He died on 18 June 1995 in Wimbledon, Surrey.
