## Biography

Norman Priggen (also credited as Spike Priggen) was a British film producer and assistant director. He began his career as an assistant director on several Ealing Studios productions, including *Kind Hearts and Coronets* (1949), *The Lavender Hill Mob* (1951) and *The Cruel Sea* (1953).

As a producer, Priggen worked frequently with director Joseph Losey. Their collaborations include *The Servant* (1963), *King & Country* (1964), *Accident* (1967), *Secret Ceremony* (1968) and *The Go-Between* (1971). Other production credits encompass *Payroll* (1961), *Modesty Blaise* (1966), *The Assassination of Trotsky* (1972) and *Tales That Witness Madness* (1973). He also served as executive producer on *The Creeping Flesh* (1973) and produced *Freddie as F.R.O.7.* (1992).

Priggen was born in London and died in Uckfield, East Sussex, in December 1999.
