## Biography

Norman Rodway (1929–2001) was an Anglo-Irish actor. He made his stage debut in 1953 at the Cork Opera House and his London debut in 1959. He studied classics at Trinity College Dublin and joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1966, where his roles included Hotspur in Henry IV and the title role in Richard III.

Although primarily a stage actor, Rodway appeared in film and television. He played Henry 'Hotspur' Percy in Orson Welles's Chimes at Midnight (1965) and featured in series including Inspector Morse, Jeeves and Wooster and Miss Marple. He was also noted for extensive BBC radio work.
