## Biography

Oldřich Bosák was a Czech production designer and art director. Born on 8 April 1922 in Kroměříž, he trained at the master school for wood processing in Olomouc and the Special School for Interior Architecture in Prague.

He began working in film in 1949 at Barrandov Studios and contributed to over one hundred feature films. His credits include production design on *Closely Watched Trains* (1966), *Diamonds of the Night* (1964), *The Girl on the Broomstick* (1972) and *Three Wishes for Cinderella* (1973). He also taught architecture and scenography at FAMU in Prague and received an award at the 1973 Sitges Film Festival for special effects and set design. Bosák died on 3 July 1996 in Zakšín.
