## Biography

Olga Helen Fowler Dickie (1900–1992) was a British character actress and radio announcer. Born to Scottish parents in Mariani, Assam, British India, she began her career on stage in the United Kingdom in the 1920s before working as a BBC radio announcer from the 1930s, including as Scottish Announcer during the Second World War.

She appeared in cameo roles in British films from 1949 to 1964, most notably as Gerda in *Dracula* (1958). Later she emigrated to Australia, where she took guest roles in television series and films including *Picnic at Hanging Rock* (1975) as Mrs Fitzhubert. She was married twice, first to actor Patrick Susands and then to Erik Ernest Swann.
