Oliver Dimsdale is an English actor. Born on 28 October 1972 in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, he trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating in 1999.

He is known for his television roles as Louis Trevelyan in the 2004 BBC adaptation of *He Knew He Was Right* and as Daniel Marlowe in *Grantchester* (2016–present). His other screen credits include appearances in *RocknRolla* (2008), *Good People* (2014), *Journey's End* (2017) and *The Last Czars* (2019), as well as the role of Simon in *Count Arthur Strong* (2015).

Dimsdale is co-founder and co-artistic director of Filter Theatre. He is married to actress Zoë Tapper.
