## Biography

Omar Brignoli is an Italian actor from the Bergamo area. He played the role of Minec in Ermanno Olmi’s *The Tree of Wooden Clogs* (1978).

The film cast local non-professional performers. Brignoli, then seven years old and from Palosco, was selected among many children for the part. In a 2018 interview he recalled being reluctant to spend days away from his friends during filming and being encouraged with gifts of toys.
