Omar Hashim Epps is an American actor. He was born on 20 July 1973 in New York City and attended the Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts.

Epps made his film debut in *Juice* (1992). His other film roles include *Higher Learning* (1995), *Scream 2* (1997), *The Wood* (1999), *In Too Deep* (1999) and *Love & Basketball* (2000). On television he has played Dr Dennis Gant in *ER* and Dr Eric Foreman in *House* (2004–2012).

He has received multiple NAACP Image Awards for his work.
