## Biography

Oren Soffer is an Israeli-American cinematographer. Born in Haifa, Israel, on 2 July 1988, he graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA and was nominated for the American Society of Cinematographers Gordon Willis Student Heritage Award.

He is best known for serving as co-cinematographer, alongside Greig Fraser, on the science fiction film *The Creator* (2023), directed by Gareth Edwards. Other feature credits include *Allswell in New York* (2022) and *Fixation* (2022). He has also photographed numerous short films, including *Opera of Cruelty* (2017), which won a Student Academy Award. In 2024 he was included in Variety’s list of 10 Cinematographers to Watch. He has served as an adjunct professor at NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
