## Biography

Ove Rud (1923–2007) was a Danish actor. He trained at De frederiksbergske Teatres elevskole and made his screen debut in the 1950 film *I gabestokken*.

He is known for his supporting role as the pastor in Carl Theodor Dreyer's *Ordet* (1955). Rud appeared in more than twenty films between 1950 and 2000, including *Flickering Lights* (2000) as an elderly man, as well as television series such as *Matador* and *Bryggeren*.
