## Biography

Owen Bush (10 November 1921 – 12 June 2001) was an American actor. Born in Savannah, Missouri, he began his career in radio as an announcer in the late 1940s and later worked as a sportscaster on WDAF-TV in Kansas City. There he met director Robert Altman while acting in industrial films, leading to a role in Altman's first feature, *The Delinquents* (1957).

Bush became a prolific character actor in film and television from the late 1950s onwards. His credits include an uncredited role as a policeman in *Bonnie and Clyde* (1967), the communications officer in *Vanishing Point* (1971), and appearances in series such as *Bonanza*, *Gunsmoke* and *Get Smart*. He also had recurring roles on the soap opera *Passions* and in the *Prehysteria!* films.

Bush continued working into the late 1990s and early 2000s, with film roles including *The Last Starfighter* (1984), *What's Love Got to Do with It* (1993) and *Best Laid Plans* (1999). His final screen work was in 2000.
