## Biography

P. Erik Carlson is an American production designer and art director. A Seattle native, he studied architecture and environmental design at the University of Colorado-Boulder. He began his career building log cabins in Colorado before moving to Los Angeles, where his early credits included art direction on the television series *Freaks & Geeks* and art department work on the feature *Memento* (2000).

Carlson served as art director and later production designer on the ABC series *Desperate Housewives* (2004–2012), earning two Primetime Emmy nominations. His production design credits include the features *The Outpost* (2020) and *Lucky Strike* (2026), as well as the series *Manhunt: Unabomber* (2017), *SIX* (2017) and *Episodes* (2011). He has collaborated with directors including Christopher Nolan, Frank Darabont, Rod Lurie and Joe Carnahan.
