## Biography

Pam Coats is an American animated film producer. Born in Utah, she holds a B.A. in fine arts from Utah State University and an M.A. in directing from the University of Oregon.

She began her career at Walt Disney Feature Animation as a production assistant in 1989. Coats produced the short films *Trail Mix-Up* (1993) and *Runaway Brain* (1995), and served as producer on the feature *Mulan* (1998), for which she received an Annie Award. In 1999 she was appointed senior vice president of creative development at Walt Disney Animation Studios, a role she held until 2004.

Later credits include producing *Scoob!* (2020) and *Thelma the Unicorn* (2024).
