## Biography

Pam Tait is a British costume designer who has worked in film, television and theatre. Her film credits include *Erik the Viking* (1989), *Straight to Hell* (1987), *Walker* (1987), *Let Him Have It* (1991), *Beautiful Thing* (1996), *The Acid House* (1998) and *Divorcing Jack* (1998). She has also designed costumes for television series such as *Queer as Folk* (1999) and *In a Land of Plenty* (2001).

Tait began her career in theatre, working at the Royal Court Theatre in the early 1980s, where she designed the premiere production of *Top Girls* (1982) and served as assistant costume designer on the film *Sid and Nancy* (1986). Later credits include work at the National Theatre and various London stage productions. From around 2000 she taught at the University of Bristol’s Department of Drama, serving as a teaching fellow until 2016, while continuing occasional design work in film, television and dance.
