## Biography

Pamela Gray is an American screenwriter. She was raised in a Jewish family in New York City and earned an M.A. in poetry from Boston University, after which she taught for several years. She later enrolled in the screenwriting programme at UCLA, where she studied under Lew Hunter and interned with a producer on *Star Trek: The Next Generation*.

During her internship she rewrote the episode 'Violations', which aired in 1992. Her screenplay *The Blouse Man* (later retitled *A Walk on the Moon*) won the Samuel Goldwyn Writing Award in 1992 and was filmed in 1999, beginning a collaboration with director Tony Goldwyn. She also wrote the screenplays for *Music of the Heart* (1999), *Conviction* (2010) and *Megan Leavey* (2017), and contributed episodes to series including *Once and Again* and *The Divide*.
