## Biography

Paola Mori (born Paola di Gerfalco, Contessa di Gerfalco) was an Italian actress. She appeared in supporting roles in several Italian films in the early 1950s, including *Fanciulle di lusso* (1952) and *Il maestro di Don Giovanni* (1954).

In 1955 she married the film-maker Orson Welles, with whom she had a daughter, Beatrice Welles. She played the female lead in his *Mr. Arkadin* (1955) and took small parts in his *The Trial* (1962). Archive footage of her appeared in the 1992 version of *Don Quixote*. She died in a road accident in Las Vegas in 1986.
