## Biography

Paolo Bonfini is an Italian production designer. Born in Mentana in 1964, he graduated in 1984 and began his career in the United States as creative director of a film production company. He made his debut as a scenographer in 1997 and has collaborated frequently with director Matteo Garrone since the early 2000s.

He is known for his work on films including *Gomorrah* (2008), *The Embalmer* (2002) and *Reality* (2012). Bonfini has received two Ciak d'oro awards for best production design, for *The Embalmer* and *Reality*, along with nominations for the David di Donatello and Nastro d'Argento.
