Paras Patel is an American actor born on 8 July 1986 in Florida. He is best known for portraying the apostle Matthew in the television series *The Chosen* (2019–).

He made his acting debut in the 2011 television film *Teen Spirit*. Subsequent credits include the film *The DUFF* (2015) and appearances in series such as *NCIS: Los Angeles* (2009) and *Fresh Off the Boat* (2015). He also appears in *The Shift* (2023). Patel studied finance before entering acting and has worked on projects including the animated series *The Chosen Adventures* (2025) and the unscripted series *The Chosen in the Wild with Bear Grylls* (2026).
