Parker Bennett is an American screenwriter. He wrote the screenplays for *Mystery Date* (1991) and *Super Mario Bros.* (1993), the latter with Terry Runté. He also contributed additional story and dialogue to *The Thief and the Cobbler* (1993) and wrote one episode of the television series *Sweet Valley High* (1996).

Bennett was born in Evanston, Illinois. Before his screenwriting career he worked as an advertising art director for Leo Burnett USA and contributed writing and cartoons to *Playboy* and *National Lampoon*.
