## Biography

Pat Shortt is an Irish actor and comedian. He began his career in the late 1980s as half of the comedy duo D'Unbelievables with Jon Kenny, touring and releasing videos of character sketches. He later created, wrote and starred in the RTÉ sitcom Killinaskully (2003–2008).

Shortt is known for film roles including Colum Hennessey in *The Guard* (2011), Brendan Lynch in *Calvary* (2014), Jonjo Devine in *The Banshees of Inisherin* (2022) and the voice of Lug in *Song of the Sea* (2014). He won the IFTA for Best Actor for his performance in *Garage* (2007). He trained at the Limerick School of Art and Design and has also appeared in *Father Ted* (1995) as Tom.
