Patrice Melennec is a French actor born on 1 June 1942 in Quimper, Finistère. He began his career in the theatre in 1968 with the company of Jean-Pierre Bisson and later appeared in numerous stage productions.

Melennec has worked in more than fifty feature films and many television series and telefilms. His screen credits include *Frantic* (1988) as the hotel detective, *The ComDads* (1983), *One Deadly Summer* (1983), *Ernest & Celestine* (2012) as the voice of Georges, *The Gilded Cage* (2013), *Two Is a Family* (2016) and *Love at Second Sight* (2019). He has also provided French dubbing for international films and video games.
