## Biography

Patricia Falkenhain (1926–2004) was an American actress whose screen credits include the role of Charlie's Secretary in *Something Wild* (1986), Dinner Party Hostess in *Heartburn* (1986) and Woman in the House in *The House on Carroll Street* (1988). She also appeared in *The End of August* (1981) as Mme. Lebrun and in television productions including episodes of *Tanner '88* (1988) and *American Playhouse* (1987).

Falkenhain had an extensive stage career, appearing in numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway productions. Her credits include *The House of Blue Leaves* (1986), *Once a Catholic* (1979) and revivals of *Hamlet* (1961), *She Stoops to Conquer* (1960) and *Henry IV, Part II* (1960). She won three Obie Awards for her work with the Phoenix Theatre.

She was married to actor Robert Gerringer from 1950 until his death in 1989.
