Patrick Horgan (1929–2021) was a British-American actor of Irish descent. Born in Nottingham, he initially studied medicine before pursuing acting and began working in television in the 1950s. He appeared in films including *The Thomas Crown Affair* (1968) and provided the voice of the narrator in Woody Allen's *Zelig* (1983); his final screen role was a guest part in Allen's *The Curse of the Jade Scorpion* (2001).

On stage he played Sherlock Holmes in Broadway productions and had recurring roles in several American soap operas, notably as Dr John Morrison in *The Doctors* (1970–1974). He also recorded numerous audiobooks, including an unabridged reading of *Finnegans Wake* for the Library of Congress. Horgan was married to actress Irish McCalla from 1958 to 1969.
