## Biography

Pau Esteve Birba is a Spanish cinematographer. Born in Barcelona in 1981, he graduated in photography from the Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya (ESCAC). After early work as a camera operator and focus puller, he moved to Mexico in 2009 before returning to Spain for second-unit duties on the film *Buried* (2010). He later settled in Málaga.

Esteve Birba is known for his cinematography on *Cannibal* (2013), for which he received a Goya Award and the San Sebastián International Film Festival Jury Prize for Best Cinematography. He has also served as director of photography on *The Good Boss* (2021), *The Motive* (2017), *Orbiter 9* (2017), *Realive* (2016) and the series *Echo 3* (2022). He has received further Goya nominations and a Carmen Award for his work.
