Paul A. Partain (22 November 1946 – 28 January 2005) was an American actor. Born in Austin, Texas, he is known for his role as Franklin Hardesty in *The Texas Chain Saw Massacre* (1974).

Partain served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After returning to the US he worked at an electronics manufacturing plant and a dinner theatre. His first film role was an uncredited part in *Lovin' Molly* (1974). He appeared in *Race with the Devil* (1975) and *Rolling Thunder* (1977) before largely stopping acting. He returned for small roles in the 1990s and 2000s, including a hospital orderly in *The Return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre* (1995) and an uncredited part in *The Life of David Gale* (2003).
