## Biography

Paul Cornell is a British writer born on 18 July 1967 in Chippenham, Wiltshire. He has written for television drama and Doctor Who fiction, creating the spin-off companion Bernice Summerfield.

His television credits include episodes of the 2005 revival of *Doctor Who* ('Father's Day' in 2005 and the two-part 'Human Nature'/'The Family of Blood' in 2007, adapted from his 1995 novel), *Elementary*, *Primeval*, *Robin Hood*, *Casualty*, *Holby City* and *Coronation Street*. He has also written numerous *Doctor Who* novels for Virgin Publishing and BBC Books in the 1990s, audio dramas for Big Finish Productions, and comics for Marvel, DC and other publishers.
