## Biography

Paul Eads is a production designer and art director working in film and television. A graduate of Kalamazoo College, he attended the Yale School of Drama and began his career in theatre and film in New York City, joining United Scenic Artists Local 829 in 1979. He moved to Los Angeles in 1985 and became a member of the Art Directors Guild Local 800 in 1989.

His television credits include production design on *NYPD Blue* (1993–1995), for which he received two Emmy Awards, as well as *Murder One*, *Boston Public* and *Major Crimes*. He directed one episode of *NYPD Blue* in 2003. Film work includes *Frequency* (2000), *Save the Last Dance* (2001), *Fracture* (2007), *Untraceable* (2008) and the 2009 reboot of *Fame*, on which he also served as second unit director. He received an Art Directors Guild award for *Brooklyn South* and a further Emmy for *Boston Public*.
