## Biography

Paul Jones (1901–1968) was an American film producer whose career was spent largely at Paramount Pictures. He began as an assistant director in 1929 and later worked as a screenwriter and associate producer before becoming a producer of comedies in the late 1930s.

Jones produced several films directed by Preston Sturges, including *Christmas in July* (1940), *The Lady Eve* (1941), *Sullivan's Travels* (1941) and *The Palm Beach Story* (1942). He also produced many of Bob Hope’s comedies and several films starring Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, such as *The Caddy* (1953), *You're Never Too Young* (1955) and *Pardners* (1956). Other credits include *A Southern Yankee* (1948) for MGM and episodes of the television series *How to Marry a Millionaire* (1958–1959).
