Paul Kurta is a producer and production manager. He began his career in film and television production in New York City, working as a freelance production manager and producer of commercials and documentaries.

In 1980–81 he produced two seasons of the syndicated series *Tales of the Unexpected*. He collaborated on six films with writer-director Larry Cohen, beginning with *Q* (1982), and produced and co-wrote the screenplay for the feature *Key Exchange* (1985).

Kurta produced the first season of *Veronica Mars* (2004–2005). His other credits include co-producer and second unit director on *Empire Records* (1995), producer on *The Stuff* (1985) and *The Lost Room* (2006), and executive producer on *Hell on Wheels* (2011–2016).
