## Biography

Paul Smith is a British cinematographer and camera operator who has worked primarily in stop-motion animation.

His credits include camera operator on the Wallace & Gromit short *A Close Shave* (1995) and lighting cameraman on the feature *Chicken Run* (2000). He has also contributed to other Aardman productions such as *The Pirates! Band of Misfits* (2012) and *Shaun the Sheep* (2009–2010). Smith received a director of photography credit on the 2018 feature *Early Man*.
